It’s time to do it AGAIN! God has blessed us to prepare ourselves to come together to meet, greet, fellowship, laugh, catch-up, have fun, reminisce and make new memories once again.

“Our Family Reunion 2012″ will be held in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The dates for the reunion are August 3rd – 5th, 2012. A block of rooms has been secured at the Holiday Inn Hotel, 1944 Cedar Creek Road, Fayetteville, NC (910) 323-1600. When making you reservations ask for ” Hinton Family Reunion – 2012″ for the discount price of $89.95. The following links will give you more information about the reunion activities and schedules.

Our reunion always opens on Friday with a “Meet and Greet and a word from God presented by one of our very own family members. The family picnic will be held on Saturday at the beautiful Mazarick Park with lots of activities. Later on Saturday evening we will convene at the hotel’s banquet room for the first ever “Family Feud Game” of the families and a “Taste-Off” with homemade desserts. On Sunday morning our prayer breakfast will be held at the hotel with another word from God presented by a dynamic family speaker.

This will be our 5th Family Reunion since organized in 2004, giving all the credit to God Almighty who has allowed us to continue to come together as a family. As we planned to make this an exciting event for all, we ask that everyone mark their calendars and start planning now for a fun filled weekend.

As the event draws near, we petition your prayers and would like to see as many family members as can to come together to make this reunion another great success.

Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Robert Hinton passed this life on Tuesday, November 9th. Robert was the son of the late John “Papa” Grant Hinton and Sallie Burns Hinton. Robert will be greatly missed by his lovely wife Magdelene; three children, Rosalyn, Linda, and Robert; one sister, Daisy McDonald; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Wake: Sunday, November 14th from 7:00 – 8:00pm at Cunningham & Sons Mortuary Inc, 3809 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304

Services: Monday, November 15th at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 302 Moore St, Fayetteville, NC, 28301 (Viewing promptly from 10 – 11am ONLY)

Burial: Cumberland Memorial Cemetery

Services:
Funeral, 1 p.m. Saturday in Savannah Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial in church cemetery.

Viewing, 3 to 7 p.m. today in Wiseman Mortuary. Visitation at the home.

Survived by:
Daughter, Marilyn Jenkins; sons, Kenneth, Rickie and Douglas; brothers, Ervin Robinson and John Robinson; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Only a few more days before we meet to kick-off our 2010 “Our Family Renion.” May God grant each of you traveling mercies for a safe arrival into Fayetteville, NC.

Upon your arrival at the Doubletree Hotel, check-in should be quick and easy. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the hotel and surroundings. Directions and weekend agendas will be located at the front desk for your convenience.

Reunion Registration starts at 6:30 on the 4th floor in the Terrace Lounge, stop by and pick up your registration bag and meet some new family members.

We have planned for a wonderful time at the park on Saturday, but before you leave home, don’t forget to grab your fishing poles and lawn chairs- it’s plenty to do!
